The "breeder" wears heavy coat and gloves against the WI chill, while the pups huddle together on a wire mesh floor in a wire mesh cage. Yes, that is snow you see on the corrugated metal roof and on the ground.
BUT THAT'S OK, the breeder tells us; "They were outside for a million years. It's only the last 200 that people have been putting 'em in the house."
IS THAT OK WITH YOU?
About the Wisconsin Puppy Mill Project:
The Wisconsin Puppy Mill Project is a 501(c)3 registered non-profit. Our goal is to offer a valuable educational resouce for:
those seeking to end the institutionalized form of animal cruelty known as "puppy mills"
those looking for ways to fight abuse in their own neighborhoods
those wishing to add a healthy, loving, animal companion to their families
Members of our group started working to alleviate the suffering of mill dogs in 1999 and officially organized as the Wisconsin Puppy Mill Project, Inc., in 2004. Our mission is to educate the public about puppy mills, to prevent cruelty to animals, to foster understanding of responsible pet acquisition and ownership, and to promote adoption of homeless companion animals.

Just As I Suspected

Ron is getting attached to his current charge. He is only supposed to go to see them three times a day and he is going five times a day. He has earned their friendship and they really look forward to seeing him. He worries about them like our own brood. It is very sweet. I have always told Ron that he has the heart of St. Francis. I am preparing gift bags to leave for our clients upon their return. They have three daughters and the last time we watched their two cats and dog, we left some little treats for the pets for them to give them. They seemed to love that so this time, I am leaving the same but also leaving some little treats for the three girls. I hope they all enjoy the extra touch.

In other news, I updated our About Us page on our website. www.cvhousepets.com. One of our friends mentioned that people might want to see some faces behind the biz. Well, I am sure I went overboard because when I pulled out the old photo album with all the pics of all our various pets through the years, it was all so sentimental to me. Trust me, I could have gone back further, but stopped myself. I was amazed at how many pets we had loved and lost and loved and are still with us! What an inventory moment. I hope all that look at it, enjoy it as we have enjoyed all of our adoptees and living mates!!

Frankie & His Pill in a Blanket

Frankie's so grateful for the visit and the weenie pill. Yes, we let them lick our faces!

Well, aren't I just relaxed about everything!

Frankie eagerly awaits his medication because he knows it is inside a Louis Rich Fat Free Turkey Hot Dog!! Oh Boy...Oh Boy...where's my pill??

Look at his feet coming off the floor. I wish giving cats their meds was this easy!

Hey, I think I am eating out of the wrong dish!

Yes, I glow in the dark!

Whatever.

Here's our babies waiting for us to come back home.
