We recently picked our son up from school and took him to visit emBark, the doggy daycare center located in Eau Claire. What a cool and fun place to go visit! Have you ever had the experience of being in the same room as 62 dogs of all shapes, sizes and colors? It is wild! It is fun and it is a hoot! Now, mind you, these are all very well behaved dogs. There is an interview process the owner of emBark, puts her clients and their pups through and if they are not totally socialized or have any issues, they are not allowed at daycare. Sort of like when your toddler is not potty trained! So, these are all happy, wagging, goofy, loveable dogs.
My son thought he was inside the movie "101 Dalmations"...He had never been around so many dogs at once and he just loved it. You can't help but smile a lot while you are there. The staff at emBark are all so wonderful and you can tell everyone that works there truly has a passion for dogs! The owner even owns three dogs of her own, who of course, go to work with her every day.
Although emBark is in the same line of work as my biz, it is quite different. emBark is daytime dog care out-of-the-home. What we provide is short term in-home pet care. We travel to your home when you are away and take care of your house, your pets, your mail, etc. And there is room in this world for both types of dog care businesses.
I will be posting some video I took at emBark soon. This will give you a better feel for how much fun this place is. But for now I will get some much deserved sleep after an 18 hour work day! ps...emBark's web page is http://www.embarkdog.com/
