Katie, Mischief and Sweetie
Kitties are doing well. We were worried about Katie for two days. We just couldn't find her. We finally found her hiding on day two and once she had eye contact with us, she then came out to eat, and then disappeared again! Mischief and Sweetie are fine. But a little lonely for their family to be back in the house full-time. Sweetie is the friendliest and most loving cat. We spend quality time together while we are there. One day we took her out into the backyard (because we know she loves to go outside)…and she escaped through TWO fences. The plastic green one and the mettle mesh on the neighbor’s yard (in back). The worst fear when pet sitting….the pet goes missing!! We walked around the block a couple of times calling and looking but no luck. We went back at noon to look and heard the jingle of her tag and collar. She came running back. We probably won’t risk her out side again. Garden doing ok. Rained like crazy late yesterday.

Oliver The Toy Poodle!!!
Oliver, our current pet sit, a little toy poodle with diabetes, is just adorable. He has really warmed up to us over time. He looks forward to our visits now and he has become playfull with us recently. He likes going into the living room or the kitchen and likes when we lay on the floor with him and he nuzzles and rolls on his back and likes to do little bites of our fingers.
He has a short rope in the back yard and after we knew he trusted us, we let him off his rope and walked around the back yard with him and he came to life. He started rolling in the grass, exploring and even started to bark at the neighbors for the first time. He was totally enjoying himself and feeling his oats. He felt pretty darn good and it was so enjoyable to see the little guy happy. He is funny to watch walking through tall grass. He does kind of a march lifting his little legs up. He is just so cute.
He is usually quiet and timid and he has become a whole new little doggy. He is so much fun to visit. He really looks forward to us now. I think he might miss us a little after the pet sit is over and we will miss him until the next time.

Ole Grey and The Chief
Hey Randa! If you have internet access and happen to tune into our blog, everyone is doing fine. The fish are good, although, they gave me a scare today by plopping around. I wondered if they would jump out when I opened the lid to drop a wafer to two. I have not seen hide nor hair of Pepper. You warned me that I might not see her and I haven't. She is a good hider! Chief is not thrilled right now. He wants to go out badly. I brought him some treats today to amuse him. I also put a crack in the back door curtain so he could at least look outside. Grey is just being Grey. She is always the first one to greet me. She is a sweety. She got very sick over the past 24hours. Probably normal for you but to me it was like woaahhh...how much can a cat puke in 24 hours. I cleaned up 8 or 9 spots...all upstairs. Thank goodness I brought my bottle of Resolve with me. I did run out of paper towel but will bring a roll with me tomorrow. Poor Grey. She is a sweety but she doesn't seem to happy to be so old. Hope you are having a great trip. Here are pictures of your babies except for the hiding Pepper. Oh and Fedex tried twice to deliver something and I left them a note about delivering to me but they weren't very cooperative. I put the door tags on your kitchen table. Kim
